The lanai overlooks the ocean, and honestly, sitting out there with my morning coffee became my favorite part of each day. Plus, you’re close enough to drive to Haleakala (hence the name, I guess) for sunrise if you’re feeling ambitious.

What I really appreciated was how straightforward everything was. No resort fees, no complicated check-in process, just simple beach living. The complex has a pool that’s nothing fancy but perfect for a quick dip, and there’s a spa nearby if you want to splurge on a massage. The local grocery store is maybe a five-minute drive, so stocking up the fridge is easy. I actually ended up cooking more than I planned because the setup made it so convenient — and watching the sunset from the lanai while grilling some fresh fish from the local market?
