Hotel Description
You know what? Aaron’s cottage totally caught me off guard. I mean, when you see “cottage” in the name, you’re sort of expecting something quaint but maybe a little rough around the edges – but this place actually delivers that cozy charm without making you sacrifice comfort. It’s got that authentic three-star feel where everything works properly and the beds are genuinely comfortable, but you’re not paying for marble bathrooms you don’t really need.
The thing that struck me most was how Aaron (yeah, he’s actually around and really helpful) has managed to keep it feeling like you’re staying at someone’s well-appointed home rather than just another hotel room. The common areas have this lived-in warmth – there are books that people have actually read scattered around, and the coffee setup in the morning feels more like raiding a friend’s kitchen than dealing with those terrible lobby machines. Honestly, the 8.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there for a day or two. It’s not trying to be fancy, but everything just… works. The Wi-Fi is solid, the shower pressure is better than half the four-star places I’ve stayed at, and – this is key – it’s genuinely quiet at night. I’m someone who usually travels with earplugs, but I didn’t need them here.
What really sold me on the place was the attention to those little details that most hotels completely miss. Like, there’s actually decent lighting for reading in bed, and enough outlets near the nightstand that you don’t have to choose between charging your phone and using the lamp. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive – they somehow manage to clean everything perfectly while making it feel like your stuff hasn’t been touched. And here’s something I’ve never experienced before: Aaron left a handwritten note with genuinely useful local recommendations, not just the usual tourist traps. I ended up at this amazing little bakery he mentioned that I never would have found otherwise. The whole experience just feels more personal and thoughtful than what you typically get, even at much pricier places. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a home base rather than just a place to crash, this is definitely worth considering.

This place is a dream – close to the beach, great communication from managers, clean and comfortable, and loved the frogs singing outside at night. 11/10.

Josh was very welcoming & helpful, he suggested several areas to visit. Even though it’s close to the airport, it’s not very busy so no worries about noise from there. Comfortable beds and spacious bathroom! The shared kitchen was easy to use and we found what we needed to prepare our meals & lunches to go!

Fantastic stay in a quiet neighborhood with a nice local beach at the end of the road. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. I’d stay there again.

We stayed in the attached unit with one queen bed. We got in late, but the manager was very accommodating. The bed was super comfy, and the room was spacious and clean. The furniture was beautiful, sturdy, and purposeful. We loved how the beach was only a minute walk away, which was a great place to go for a dip at the end of a hot day. Make friends with your neighbors as you are in close proximity to each other and share the kitchen and laundry facilities. There are no beach views, but the location is great, and it’s easy to navigate your way around, and it’s not far from the airport. We’ll definitely be back again.
