You know what struck me first about this Puamana condo? It’s one of those places where you actually want to spend time on the lanai instead of rushing off to explore – and in West Maui, that’s saying something. The ocean view isn’t just a sliver you have to crane your neck to see; it’s right there, with the mountains creating this dramatic backdrop that honestly changes throughout the day as the light shifts.

The two-bedroom setup works really well for families or couples traveling together because both bedrooms have their own bathrooms – no awkward morning routines or fighting over mirror time. I mean, the master gets the better view obviously, but even the second bedroom is comfortable and doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The living area opens right onto that lanai I mentioned, and there’s actually enough seating for everyone to hang out without feeling cramped. The kitchen has everything you need if you’re planning to cook (and you should – those Foodland grocery runs in Lahaina add up fast), though honestly, the outdoor dining area is where you’ll end up eating most meals anyway.

What I really appreciate about Puamana as a complex is that it feels more like a neighborhood than a resort. The pool area never gets too crazy, even during peak season, and there’s something nice about the older, more established feel compared to some of the newer developments down the coast. You’re close enough to Lahaina that you can walk or bike into town – maybe fifteen minutes on foot along Front Street – but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds every single day. The parking situation is straightforward too, which anyone who’s stayed in busy Lahaina will tell you is not always a given.

The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not flashy or trying too hard to impress, but everything just works the way it should. The trade winds flow through nicely in the evenings, the shower pressure is actually decent, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next unit starts streaming Netflix. Those might sound like small things, but they’re the difference between a good vacation rental and one you’d actually book again.

  This was a good location right on the golf course. It was nice to be able to walk out the door and take a walk on the cart paths, which were open to the public, toward the bluff edge or inland. The kitchen was sufficient and the bedrooms were fine.

  Wir hatten das App. 14 B mit li. Berg- und re. Meerblick. Von der ebenerdigen Terrasse sieht und geht man ohne Abgrenzung direkt auf das gepflegte Grün eines Golfplatzes. Es ist groß, schön eingerichtet und absolut sauber. In der Küche von Geschirrtabs bis Waschpulver alles vorhanden.
  Großer Vorteil, wenn man es mit 4 Personen belegt. 1 Schlafzimmer, incl. Bad und Schrank sind im oberen Stockwerk. In der Anlage allgemein ist es sehr ruhig, die Straße nicht in Hörweite. Die Agentur antwortet prompt und sehr freundlich auf Mails und bietet jederzeit Hilfe an.
  Für die Preise, die man in Hawaii zahlt, kann man es als billig bezeichnen.
  Wir haben uns dort absolut wohl gefühlt und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen !
