Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to this Princeville rental, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. It reads like a Craigslist ad, you know? But actually stepping inside this place completely changed my tune. The owners clearly put some serious thought into the renovation, and honestly, it shows in ways that matter when you’re trying to unwind after long days exploring Kauai’s North Shore.
The house sits in one of those classic Princeville neighborhoods where you’re close enough to hear the ocean but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the resort crowds. What really got me was how they nailed the basics – the AC actually works (which, trust me, isn’t always a given in Hawaii rentals), and that pool? It’s not huge, but it’s perfectly sized for cooling off when the afternoon sun gets intense. I mean, we’re talking about the kind of heat where even locals start looking for shade around 2 PM. The tennis court was a nice surprise too, though fair warning – it gets pretty warm out there by mid-morning, so plan your matches early if you’re serious about playing.
Inside, everything feels genuinely fresh, not just “beach rental clean” but actually thoughtfully furnished. The kitchen had all those little things you don’t realize you need until you’re making coffee at 6 AM – decent knives, a working can opener, enough counter space to actually prep food. Four bedrooms meant our group wasn’t stepping on each other, and having two full bathrooms was honestly a game-changer for morning routines. The location puts you maybe ten minutes from Hanalei Bay if you’re craving that postcard-perfect beach scene, but you’re also positioned well for hitting some of the less touristy spots along the coast. Parking was straightforward – no wrestling with tight spaces or worrying about blocking someone in. The neighborhood stays pretty quiet at night, though you’ll definitely hear the occasional rooster doing its thing around dawn (welcome to Kauai, basically). Overall, it’s the kind of place where the 7.8 rating makes sense – not perfect, but solid in all the ways that actually matter when you’re trying to enjoy your vacation instead of dealing with rental headaches.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Hawaii at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak winter season when the islands host numerous cultural festivals and outdoor activities.

The air conditioning was excellent. The kitchen was fully equipped and the owner had plenty of beach equipment in the garage. The beds were comfortable and the owner’s rep was readily available and helpful. The welcome gift on arrival was most appreciated. Great location.
