There’s free parking on-site too, which — trust me — is a bigger deal than you might think on this island.

The Space Itself

The room I stayed in felt more like a proper vacation rental than a typical hotel setup. You get a full kitchen setup (perfect for those expensive Hawaiian groceries), and the living area actually has enough space to spread out after a long day at the beach. The lanai — that’s the balcony for you mainlanders — catches nice trade winds, and depending on which unit you get, you might catch glimpses of the ocean through the palm trees. It’s comfortable and well-appointed, with everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before my first North Shore stay — this area shuts down early, and that’s actually part of its charm. You’re not going to find a bustling nightlife scene, but you will discover some incredible local spots that most tourists never see. The nearby Kahuku Grill serves up some of the best plate lunches on the island, and Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck (yes, that Giovanni’s) is literally a five-minute walk. The beach access here is fantastic too — you can hit different spots depending on your mood, from family-friendly stretches to more secluded coves.

  This is my 4th annual stay at Turtle Bay Condo's, I stay there due to proximity to my daughter and her children. I love the variety of activities offered via Turtle Bay, and have done them all. I felt compelled to make comments because this Condo was the superior to my previous stays in CLEANLINESS, and most comfortable that I have stayed. The condo #143 East, is equipped with plenty of beach toy's for toddler's, teens, and adults. Kitchen is well stocked with kitchen needs (coffee too!) Washer/Dryer high end, the air conditioners provide strong cool air! The MOST outstanding HONORABLE mention is all previous condo's had issues with extremely small aunts ALL three! Condo #143 East had NONE! In addition, it was quiet a short walking to Lei Lei's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner which I recommend. Also walking distance to beaches, Hotel Shopping, Hotel Restaurants, and Hotel grocery convenience. I MUST also mention the maintenance staff was prompt and respectful to answer my numerous questions, such as "just how does this high end washer work?" Finally, property security was visible and communicative.

  Location is fantastic. Quiet, calm, beautiful. The kitchen was fully equipped/stocked, beach towels and beach accessories were available to us and that was wonderful. I could stay here every visit.

  I loved the location and that we had our own parking space. Sarah, who was part of the management was so kind and helped with questions all the time.

  The location in the Turtle Bay Resort area was great, set as it is in the midst of the golf course — calm and green. Walkable access to beautiful un-busy beaches.
  Very nice to have nice restaurants to walk to. The apartment was spacious enough and had good stocks of consumable goods.

  Very clean, well-stocked rental. Great location on the North Shore of Oahu. The use of the pool was a lot of fun for visiting family. Two bathrooms were convenient. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of windows to open for the breeze.
