The walk itself is pretty pleasant, though you’ll want to grab water before heading out because there’s not much shade once you get closer to the waterfront. What I really appreciated was coming back from a long beach day and not having to deal with some massive resort lobby scene – just a quiet entrance, cool tile floors, and the kind of AC that actually works. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out with these little touches that made me think someone who actually travels designed them. Like, the bedside outlets are in the right spots, there’s a proper luggage rack instead of those flimsy folding things, and the shower has decent water pressure (honestly a miracle in some beach towns).

I stayed during what the locals call the “shoulder season” – not peak tourist madness but not dead either – and the vibe was just right.
