Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name makes it sound way fancier than it actually is – and I mean that in the best possible way. Sure, it’s called “Elegant Villa,” but honestly, it’s more like a really well-maintained guesthouse that someone’s grandmother would run if she had impeccable taste and actually cared about her guests. The moment I walked up, I could smell jasmine from the little garden out front, and there was this older gentleman watering plants who just nodded and smiled like we were old neighbors.
The whole “10-minute walk to beaches” thing is legit, by the way – I timed it because, well, I’m that person. It’s actually closer to eight minutes if you take the shortcut through the residential street with all the colorful houses (locals will point it out if you ask). The walk itself is pretty pleasant, though you’ll want to grab water before heading out because there’s not much shade once you get closer to the waterfront. What I really appreciated was coming back from a long beach day and not having to deal with some massive resort lobby scene – just a quiet entrance, cool tile floors, and the kind of AC that actually works. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out with these little touches that made me think someone who actually travels designed them. Like, the bedside outlets are in the right spots, there’s a proper luggage rack instead of those flimsy folding things, and the shower has decent water pressure (honestly a miracle in some beach towns).
I stayed during what the locals call the “shoulder season” – not peak tourist madness but not dead either – and the vibe was just right. Quiet enough to actually sleep with the windows open and hear the ocean in the distance, but with enough other guests around that it didn’t feel abandoned. The staff genuinely seemed to know the area well, not just the usual tourist trap recommendations. They pointed me toward this little café about three blocks inland where I had the best breakfast sandwich of my entire trip, and when I mentioned wanting to catch sunset somewhere less crowded, they gave me directions to this spot that I never would’ve found on my own. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities or anything – it’s a solid 3-star place that knows exactly what it is. But sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially when you’re spending most of your time exploring anyway. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me because it delivers on what it promises without any pretense, and honestly, that’s refreshing.

Excellent location, nice and quiet. Relaxing atmosphere. Slept well, enjoyed environment, so many possibilities in kitchen. Seemingly nice BBQ – no time to try it.
