Check-in was smooth (no weird upselling pressure), and the front desk manager knew the area well enough to suggest this little café around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. My room had that perfect balance of being spotless without feeling sterile, you know? The bed was legitimately comfortable – not just hotel-marketing comfortable – and the bathroom had proper water pressure, which honestly makes or breaks a stay for me. There’s decent soundproofing too, though you might catch some hallway chatter if you’re a really light sleeper.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to small stuff that matters. The WiFi actually works throughout the building (shocking, I know), there’s a proper business center if you need to print boarding passes, and the housekeeping team restocks things before you even realize you’re running low. Parking was straightforward – no circling the block or paying ridiculous fees. The neighborhood feels safe for evening walks, and there are enough dining options nearby that you won’t get stuck with overpriced room service every night. I mean, the hotel restaurant is decent, but why limit yourself? The whole area has this authentic local vibe that tourist-heavy districts usually lose.

Look, with a 9.5 rating, you’d expect something special, and Elua 2001 delivers – just not in the flashy, Instagram-perfect way you might anticipate. It’s more like staying at a really well-run place that happens to be a hotel rather than a hotel trying really hard to be something else. The value feels right for what you get, the location works without being unnecessarily complicated, and you’ll probably find yourself recommending it to friends later. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Beautiful property, excellent location right in the middle of Wailea. Staff was super friendly. The facilities were family friendly and overall we had a great time. There was great snorkeling, even right from the beach in front of the Property. Would stay here again and again!
