I mean, the backyard basically spills onto the fairway, which sounds like it could be annoying with golf carts buzzing around, but honestly it’s pretty peaceful most of the time. Early mornings you’ll hear the sprinklers going and maybe some dedicated golfers teeing off, but it’s more charming than disruptive.

The house itself is one of those sprawling four-bedroom setups that actually works well for groups – and I’ve stayed in plenty that felt cramped despite having the space on paper. The layout here makes sense, you know? The bedrooms are spread out enough that you’re not hearing every conversation, and there’s this great open area where everyone naturally gravitates. What I really appreciated was how they’ve furnished it like people actually live there, not with that sterile rental property vibe you get sometimes. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook (and you might want to, since you’re about ten minutes from Poipu Beach but not right in the thick of all the restaurants).

Speaking of Poipu – that’s the real draw here. You’re close enough to hit the beach whenever you want, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the parking nightmare or the crowds that camp out there all day. I’d usually grab coffee in the morning, walk around the golf course a bit (they don’t mind as long as you’re not getting in anyone’s way), then head to the beach before it got too crazy. The drive takes maybe eight minutes, and you’ll start to recognize the route pretty quickly. There’s this little shortcut through a residential area that locals use – cuts off a couple minutes and avoids the main tourist drag. The whole setup just works if you want that balance of being near everything but having your own space to decompress. Plus, having four bedrooms means you can actually spread out and not feel like you’re living on top of each other, which honestly makes or breaks a group vacation.
