Gorgeous High Rise Waikiki Condo with Ocean and Diamond Head Views

Honestly, when I first walked into this Waikiki condo, I wasn’t expecting much from the building’s exterior – it’s one of those older high-rises that dot the area, nothing too flashy from street level. But wow, step inside and you’re hit with these sweeping ocean views that make you forget you’re staying in what’s essentially someone’s vacation rental. The Diamond Head vista from the lanai is actually better than what I’ve seen from some of the fancier resort hotels down the beach.

You know what really sold me on this place? It’s the little things that make you feel like you’re living in Waikiki rather than just visiting. The kitchen’s actually stocked with proper dishes and cookware (not the usual mismatched plastic stuff), which came in handy when we grabbed fresh poke from Tamura’s and wanted to eat it while watching the sunset. The living room opens right onto that lanai, so you get this constant ocean breeze that – I mean, you barely need the AC during the day. The bedroom’s positioned so you wake up to Diamond Head looming right there, and honestly, that never gets old even after a week.

Now, it’s not perfect – the building’s elevator can be painfully slow during peak hours, and you’ll hear the occasional party from neighboring units on weekend nights (this is Waikiki, after all). But the trade-off is worth it. You’re literally a three-minute walk to the beach, and more importantly, you’re close enough to duck back upstairs for a shower or forgotten sunscreen without it being a whole production. The parking situation is actually decent too, which anyone who’s driven in Waikiki will tell you is worth its weight in gold. I’d say this spot hits that sweet spot between resort luxury and local living – you get the views and location without paying Moana Surfrider prices, but you’re still comfortable enough that you’re not roughing it in some sketchy vacation rental.
