So here’s the thing about Hotel La Croix – it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone, and honestly, that works in its favor. When I first walked into the lobby, I was struck by how they’ve managed to keep that classic European hotel feel without making it feel stuffy or overly formal. You know what I mean? The kind of place where you can show up in jeans and sneakers but still feel like you belong.

The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully appointed – nothing flashy, but everything you actually need is there and works properly. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms have that satisfying water pressure that’s becoming harder to find these days. What really caught my attention though was the attention to small details. Like, they’ve got these thick curtains that actually block out light completely – crucial if you’re dealing with jet lag or just want to sleep in. The air conditioning runs quietly too, which might seem minor until you’re trying to sleep with a rattling unit keeping you up all night.

I mean, look, it’s a solid 4-star property with a 7.6 rating, so you’re not walking into the Ritz here, but that’s sort of the point. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay comfortable rather than just going through the motions. Check-in was smooth, and when I had a question about local restaurant recommendations, the front desk person actually pulled out their phone to show me photos of dishes they’d tried nearby – that kind of personal touch you don’t always get at bigger chains. The location works well too, though you’ll want to check what’s around based on what you’re planning to do. It’s not right in the thick of tourist central, which means you’re not dealing with crowds right outside your window, but you’re also not stranded somewhere requiring expensive taxi rides for everything. There’s decent street parking if you’re driving, though it can get competitive during peak hours. Honestly, for the price point, it hits that sweet spot where you feel like you’re getting good value without any major compromises that’ll bug you throughout your stay.

  Perfect location on the edge of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, with a peaceful park opposite and a 2 min stroll to the beach. Easy stroll into the luxe shops and high-end dining if that’s your thing.
  The delightful bartender John, who serves in the bar at the pool on level 6 is outstanding. Charming, handsome and a generous pourer of spirits, he made my stay so much more special for the connection and.company he provided. He gave great suggestions for eateries, bars, and sightseeing, but more than that… he was a warm, welcoming and genuine bubble of positive energy, and made the level 6 pool area buzz with good vibes.

  The property was great! Amazing location close to many shops and a short walk to the beach. Also not far from the airport. The staff were so welcoming and always had a positive attitude! Also very cute pool area. Great for relaxation.
