Ilikai Tower 1123 City View 1BR Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Ilikai Tower 1123 City View 1BR, you immediately get that classic Waikiki vibe — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the strip, but there’s something genuinely comfortable about it. This three-star property sits right in the heart of Honolulu, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that retro Hawaiian charm that reminds you this tower has been welcoming guests for decades, and the one-bedroom setup gives you way more space than your typical hotel room.
Location & Getting Around
You know what’s great about staying here? You’re literally in the sweet spot of Waikiki without paying those beachfront prices. The location score of 8.3 isn’t just a number — I mean, you can walk to the beach in minutes, hit up the International Market Place for shopping, and there are food trucks and local spots everywhere. Having parking available on-site is actually a huge deal here because, let’s be real, parking in Waikiki can be a nightmare and cost you $30+ per day elsewhere. If you’re planning to explore the island or just want the freedom to grab groceries, this makes life so much easier.
The Space
The one-bedroom layout is where this place really shines compared to cramped hotel rooms. You’ve got a proper living area where you can actually spread out, plus a kitchen that’s perfect for making coffee in the morning or storing those poke bowls you’ll inevitably bring back from the local spots. The city view isn’t the ocean, sure, but you get these cool glimpses of Honolulu’s skyline and the mountains in the distance. The space feels lived-in rather than sterile — which I actually prefer when I’m staying somewhere for more than a couple nights.
What Makes It Special
This isn’t your typical resort experience, and that’s exactly the point. It feels more like borrowing a friend’s place in Hawaii rather than staying in a tourist bubble. The building has this old-school Hawaiian apartment vibe that gives you a taste of what living here might actually feel like. You’re close enough to all the action but far enough from the crowds that you can decompress when you need to. The fact that couples rate it so highly tells you something — it’s got that relaxed, intimate feel that works when you want to experience Waikiki without all the resort chaos.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, it comes down to value and authenticity. You’re getting a real one-bedroom apartment in one of the most expensive areas in Hawaii, with parking included, for way less than you’d pay at the big resorts down the street. The 8.3 rating reflects what most people discover — it’s not about fancy amenities or white-glove service, it’s about having a comfortable home base in an incredible location. Whether you’re planning beach days, hiking Diamond Head, or just wandering around Honolulu, you’ll appreciate coming back to a space that feels like yours rather than just another hotel room.

Althea from United States (7/10)
We made our own breakfast. The unit has a kitchen equipped with kitchen wares needed. Went to Costco and got groceries. The kitchen has a big refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, hot water pot. The bathroom was spacious. I like the hardwood floor and tile in the kitchen. I like the balcony it allows lots of light to the unit.
