Located right in the heart of Kihei, this sixth-floor unit gives you those sweeping ocean views that make you forget you’re not staying at some fancy resort. The space feels surprisingly spacious and well-maintained, with that relaxed island vibe that immediately puts you at ease.

The Space and Comfort

The room setup is actually perfect for couples — which explains why so many pairs keep coming back here. You’ve got a proper living area that flows into the bedroom, and honestly, the lanai is where you’ll spend most of your time anyway. I mean, when you can watch the sunrise over the Pacific while drinking your morning coffee, why would you be anywhere else? The kitchen is well-stocked enough that we ended up cooking breakfast most mornings instead of going out, which saved us a decent chunk of money.

Location Magic

Here’s what I love about Kihei — you’re positioned perfectly between the touristy chaos of Wailea and the more local feel of up-country Maui. From Island Surf, you can walk to several beaches (Kamaole Beach Parks are literally minutes away), and the shopping and dining scene is right at your doorstep. The building itself sits close enough to the action that you don’t need to drive everywhere, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with constant noise from South Kihei Road.

The Beach Life

What really sold me on this spot was how easy it made the whole beach routine. You know how some places make you feel like you need to plan a whole expedition just to get to the sand? Not here. Grab your gear, walk five minutes, and you’re on some of the best swimming beaches on the island. Kamaole II became our regular spot — great for both swimming and snorkeling, plus there’s actual parking if you decide to drive to other beaches around the island.

The 10-out-of-10 rating honestly makes sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — no fancy spa or white-glove service — but it delivers exactly what most people actually want from a Maui vacation. Clean, comfortable space with killer views, walking distance to everything that matters, and rates that don’t make you wince every time you check your credit card statement. The management clearly pays attention to details too; everything worked properly, the place was spotless, and they actually respond when you have questions. For couples especially, this hits that sweet spot where you get privacy and romance without the resort crowds or the resort prices.
