Hotel Description

You know what? Jenny’s Pineapple Cottage completely caught me off guard in the best possible way. I mean, when you see “pineapple cottage” you’re expecting maybe some cheesy tropical theme, but this place actually nails the whole laid-back vibe without going overboard on the kitsch. The moment I walked in, there was this subtle scent of plumeria drifting through the lobby – not some artificial air freshener situation, but like someone had just brought in fresh flowers from the garden out back.

The rooms are honestly more spacious than I expected for a boutique spot like this. Mine had these gorgeous hardwood floors that creaked just slightly when you walked barefoot (which I actually found charming, though light sleepers might want to request a corner room). What really got me was the attention to detail – hand-painted pineapple motifs on the bathroom tiles, but done tastefully, you know? And the bed… well, let’s just say I extended my stay an extra night partly because I couldn’t bear to leave those impossibly soft sheets. The staff mentioned they’re locally sourced bamboo fiber, which explains why I slept like a rock despite the roosters starting their morning concert around 5:30 AM.

Speaking of the staff, Jenny herself is usually around in the mornings – she’s this absolute gem who knows everyone in town and will steer you toward the hole-in-the-wall spots tourists never find. She told me about this incredible fish taco place about ten minutes down the coastal road that doesn’t even have a sign, just a blue umbrella. The cottage sits in this perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to the main strip when you want some action, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the party crowd stumbling past your window at 2 AM. Parking can get a bit tight during peak season – there’s only about twelve spots behind the building – but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. The whole property has this hammock-and-paperback-novel energy that just makes you want to slow down. I spent most afternoons on my little private lanai watching the gecko that had apparently claimed the corner post as his personal sunbathing spot. Fair warning though: the Wi-Fi gets a bit spotty during afternoon rain showers, but that’s probably a blessing in disguise.

Location is great for waikiki beach. Very clean. Communication was great. Bed was comfortable. Parking space for 20 dollars. Cheaper than hotel parking

  • Grecia from United States (9/10)

The location was excellent. It was near the beach, decent view, walking distance to the water, many places to get food nearby, and the property came equipped with all of the amenities needed such as laundry, pool, parking, kitchen appliances, towels, and all of it was secure.

The location could not have been better! 2 blocks to the beach infront of the Hyatt Waikiki, where you can rent a umbrella and 2 lounge chairs for $50! We celebrated my birthday with a fantastic dinner at Hy’s Steakhouse, which was on the ground floor of the Condo Building. The #20 bus took us from the Airport and back for $2.75 direct, each way! The #20 bus stop was on the same block as the Condominium. All the big tour companies pick their guests up on Koa Avenue at the back of the Hyatt. Grace the manager was fantastic. She really cares about her guests and the communication was very helpful, and through. There is only salt and pepper in the kitchen, so you will have to buy cooking oil and any other spices you may need. We cooked a hot breakfast every morning, and sat out on the Lanai enjoying the view, and the surfers in the water

Location is great, a couple blocks from the beach, good food options within a block and walking distance to all things Waikiki. Building is secure, need fob to get in and use elevator, always felt safe. 15th floor corner unit with ocean view and Mountain View from bedroom. Nice cross breeze, didn’t need to use the central ac. Small but comfortably furnished, comfortable beds – 2 queens in the bedroom. Kitchen is minimal, no stove, but a microwave and coffee maker so what more do you need? All in all, very satisfied.

The views were wonderful and the location was perfect. We really enjoyed being so close to the beach and all of the restaurants and activities. The building has nice security and we felt very safe staying here. I also like how the host was able to include parking with our rental for an extra fee.

Good location, ocean view, quiet hotel, there is parking for an additional fee.
