I mean, with a 9.6 rating, I was expecting something decent, but honestly – this place punches way above its 3-star classification.

The ocean view is legit, not one of those “if you crane your neck and squint” situations. You’re actually looking out at the real deal Kona coastline, and in the mornings when the light hits the water just right, it’s pretty spectacular. The condo itself feels lived-in rather than sterile – you’ll find little touches that make it obvious someone actually cares about this place. The kitchen’s stocked with more than just the bare minimum (thank god, because eating out every meal in Kona will drain your wallet fast), and the furniture is comfortable enough that you’ll actually want to hang out on the lanai with your coffee. The resort access thing is where it gets interesting though. You’re not dealing with the crowds and chaos of staying directly in one of those massive resort complexes, but you can still wander over and use their pools, maybe grab a drink at their bars when you’re feeling social. It’s like having your cake and eating it too – the privacy of a rental with the amenities when you want them.

Location-wise, you’re in a good spot for exploring the Big Island without being stuck in the thick of Ali’i Drive madness. The whole Kailua-Kona area can get pretty touristy (especially when the cruise ships roll in), but from here you can easily duck out to explore the coffee farms up in the hills or head south toward the snorkeling spots that locals actually use. Parking’s not a nightmare like it can be closer to downtown, which honestly makes a huge difference when you’re hauling beach gear around. The only thing I’d mention is that Hawaiian trade winds can get pretty strong some evenings, so if you’re planning to eat dinner outside, maybe have a backup plan. But that’s true anywhere on this side of the island. What really sells me on this place is that it feels authentic – like you’re getting a genuine taste of what it’s like to actually live in Kona rather than just passing through as a tourist. The price point makes sense too, especially considering you’re getting resort access thrown in.

  The Condo had everything that you could need to make your stay comfortable, including beach chairs, umbrellas, etc… the kitchen was full and had all cooking utensils etc…the resort facilities was fantastic, the view of the sunset was great from the lanai. The unit was very big for a one bedroom, so lots of room to spread out. The bathroom and showers was fantastic. The bonus Murphy bed was great for our teenage kids.

  The condo was beautiful, spacious, with everything you could think you might need. The kitchen was super well-equipped, and there was common cooking stuff like salt and oil for common usage – which was useful for us. The resort is very nice, although the condo is quite far from the main pool and restaurant. The location is good, but after visiting the island maybe not the best for us. Pools were clean and nice, and not overcrowded.

  Die Anlage ist sehr schön und groß. Außerdem gab es viele Spielplätze, so dass auch für Familien mit Kindern gesorgt ist. Alles in allem ist die Ferienanlage sehr schön, sauber, aufgeräumt und zu empfehlen.
