Kailua Village Resort 605 Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Kailua Village Resort 605 – I mean, you know how these vacation rental places can be hit or miss. But walking into this unit, I actually found myself doing that thing where you just stop and go “oh, okay, this is nice.” The space has this lived-in comfort that feels genuine, not like someone staged it for photos and forgot people actually need to use the coffee maker.
What really got me was how quiet it stays here, even though you’re right in the heart of Kailua Village. I’m talking about that good kind of quiet where you can actually hear the trade winds moving through the palms, not the dead silence that makes you wonder if you’re too far from everything. The beach is basically a short walk away – and I mean Kailua Beach, the one that shows up in all those “world’s best beaches” articles for good reason. The sand really is that powdery white stuff you see in the photos, though honestly, it gets everywhere and you’ll be finding it in your luggage weeks later. The unit itself has everything you’d actually want without feeling cluttered. The kitchen’s properly equipped (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), which matters if you’re planning to hit the Wednesday farmer’s market and cook some of that local fish. There’s decent water pressure in the shower – sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many vacation rentals mess this up.
The whole setup just works, you know? Like, the Wi-Fi actually handles video calls if you need to check in with work, the AC keeps things comfortable during those humid afternoons, and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re living on top of each other. I kept noticing these little thoughtful touches – good hangers in the closet, enough outlets near the bed, a lanai that’s actually usable instead of just decorative. Plus, being in Kailua Village means you can walk to Kalapawai Market for those overpriced but totally worth it açai bowls, and you’re close enough to the main strip without dealing with the tour bus crowds that hit Lanikai. The 9.4 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but it nails all the things that actually matter when you’re trying to relax and enjoy Kailua’s whole laid-back vibe.

Great place for a longer stay
The apartment exceeded our expectations: very well furnished, especially the kitchen, big fridge and freezer; everything one needs to cook (and even salt&pepper and some oil and syrup. Beach chairs, and even snorkeling equipment on balcony, enough towels etc., lots of storage room. The location was perfect: everything in walking distance, lots of restaurants, bars, shops, a farmers' market, and the ocean is right there, too (sunsets from the balcony). The gesture with the welcome gifts
is a very nice touch. We felt immediately at home in that beautiful apartment.Lei from United States (9/10)
Great location! Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The unit was nicely furnished, including table and chairs to sit on the lanai for breakfast. Kitchen equipped for a long or short stay. We didn’t use the beach chairs but the cooler came in handy for road trips.

Great location – very close to the ocean and downtown Kailua Kona. It's an easy walk from the condo, down the strip to the shops/restaurants, and back. One bedroom condo that can comfortably accommodate 4 people (sofa bed). Lovely ocean view from the condo balcony. The condo was very clean and had all the necessary amenities (full kitchen); the beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, and snorkel gear were also much appreciated. Parking spot included was also a huge plus. Would highly recommend.
