The remodeling they’ve done is really well thought out, actually. Someone clearly stayed here themselves before making decisions because all the little things work. The kitchen has decent counter space (you know how rental kitchens usually have nowhere to put anything), and they’ve got this great lanai setup where you can eat breakfast while watching the early morning paddle boarders. The rental car inclusion is genius – saves you like $400 right off the bat, and you’ll definitely need wheels since Kapalua Bay is sort of tucked away from the main Lahaina action. It’s about a 15-minute drive to get groceries or hit up those food trucks everyone talks about, but honestly, that distance is perfect when you want to decompress.

What really got me was how quiet it stays, even during peak season. Kapalua Bay just doesn’t get the cruise ship crowds that overwhelm other spots – partly because it’s harder to find, partly because parking fills up fast at the public beach access. From your lanai, you’re watching maybe 20 people max on the entire beach, compared to hundreds at Kaanapali down the road. The snorkeling right out front is solid too, though the best coral is actually around the left point – locals will tell you to go early before the trade winds pick up around noon. The water stays pretty calm in the bay itself, so it’s great if you’re traveling with kids or anyone who gets nervous in bigger surf. I mean, it’s still the ocean, but it feels protected. Morning coffee on the deck watching the occasional sea turtle cruise by… that’s the kind of moment that makes you understand why people move to Maui and never leave. Plus, having a proper home base like this beats hotel life when you’re staying more than a few days – you can actually spread out, do laundry, store the pineapples you’ll inevitably buy too many of at the farmers market.

  Fantastic location, brilliant views, well maintained property.
  On top of all that the villa felt very private and laid back in comparison with the nearby resorts.
  Whilst the villas do not have a restaurant themselves it was only a short walk to the restaurants at the nearby resorts.
