So here’s the thing about Kihei Bay Vista B-102 – I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star condo rental, honestly, but this place completely surprised me. The moment you walk in, you can tell someone actually cared about the renovation instead of just slapping some paint on the walls and calling it good. The AC (and trust me, you’ll need it in Kihei) works like a dream, which is more than I can say for half the places I’ve stayed on Maui. The kitchen actually has decent knives and pans you’d want to cook with, not those sad, warped things most vacation rentals stick you with.

What really got me was the location – you’re right in the heart of Kihei but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy or overwhelming. You can walk to Foodland in like five minutes for groceries (grab some fresh poke while you’re there), and honestly, some of the best food trucks on the island are just down South Kihei Road. The beaches here aren’t the postcard-perfect ones you see in all the photos, but they’re real – locals actually use them, kids are playing in the sand, and you’re not fighting crowds for a decent spot. Kamaole Beach Parks are right there, and I mean, the snorkeling at Kamaole III is actually better than some of the “famous” spots if you ask me.

The condo itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental unit. There’s this lived-in comfort that you don’t usually get – real art on the walls, books on the shelves, a lanai where you can actually hear the ocean if you listen for it (though you’ll mostly hear the gentle hum of South Kihei Road, which honestly becomes pretty soothing white noise after a day or two). Parking was straightforward, check-in was smooth, and the whole building feels well-maintained without being fancy. You know what I loved? The shower pressure is fantastic, and there are enough towels that you don’t have to ration them like some places make you do. It’s those little things that make you realize someone who actually travels put thought into this place. For a 3-star spot, it punches way above its weight – I’ve stayed in “luxury” resorts that felt more generic than this little gem.

  Die Lage der Wohnung und der gesamten Anlage war sehr gepflegt. Ausstattung und Sauberkeit waren auf einem hohen Niveau. Wir haben die 3 Wochen dort sehr genossen und können die Wohnung auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen. Der Zugang mittels Türcode hat super funktioniert und ist eine unkomplizierte Lösung.
