Beach access is easy – just a quick walk and you’re on the sand, though honestly, the beach right there can get pretty crowded during peak season. Pro tip: walk south about ten minutes and you’ll find quieter stretches where the locals hang out. The building itself is older but well-maintained, and my neighbors were quiet – none of that paper-thin walls situation where you hear every conversation. At an 8.0 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after spending a week there, I get it. It’s not going to wow you with resort amenities, but it gives you a comfortable home base to explore Maui without the resort prices or the feeling like you’re staying in someone’s neglected vacation rental.
