Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – the name of this place reads like someone threw every possible keyword into a hat and called it a day, but don’t let that fool you. The King Palm (which is what I’m calling it because, come on) is actually one of those pleasant surprises you stumble across when you’re not trying too hard to impress anyone.
The location is pretty much what sold me initially. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the sand – I timed it because I’m weird like that – and not the kind of walk where you’re dodging traffic or navigating sketchy alleyways. It’s a straight shot down a quiet residential street lined with those classic Florida palms that sway just enough to make you feel like you’re in a postcard. The ocean view from the room isn’t some tiny sliver you have to crane your neck to see either. I mean, you’re not oceanfront luxury resort level here, but honestly? The unobstructed view of the water from that king bed in the morning was pretty damn perfect with my coffee. Speaking of which, there’s a decent little coffee spot about two blocks north if the in-room setup isn’t cutting it for you.
What I really appreciated were the details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The parking situation is legit free and easy – none of that circling-the-block nonsense or surprise fees at checkout. The WiFi works everywhere, including out on the little patio area where that BBQ setup is. And you know what? That grill is cleaner than half the ones I’ve seen at much pricier places. I ended up using it twice because there’s a Publix maybe ten minutes away, and grilling fresh fish while watching the sunset became sort of my thing. The whole setup has this relaxed, residential vibe that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re crashing at a friend’s beach house for the week.
Now, I’m not gonna pretend it’s the Ritz – it’s a solid 3-star spot that knows exactly what it is. The room was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom could use a small refresh (nothing major, just showing its age a bit). But here’s the thing: for what you’re paying and where you are, it’s honestly hard to complain. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not blowing anyone away with fancy amenities, it nails the basics really well. Plus, the owner clearly gets that people come here for the beach and the relaxation, not to spend all day in their room anyway. If you’re looking for a straightforward, no-drama place where you can actually hear the waves at night and walk to the water without planning an expedition, this works. Just don’t expect a concierge or room service – but that’s probably not why you’re here anyway.

We absolutely fell in love with the property! Such a specious, beautiful unit with the view of the ocean from every single room! On top of everything, Isaac offered us to use his snorkeling gears, umbrellas, coolers, and overall was extremely helpful and caring. Out of hundreds properties that we have been to, this one is definitely on our top list!
