The owners (and I’m pretty sure they actually live on the property) have this way of making you feel like you’re staying at a well-traveled friend’s place rather than just another customer checking in. Check-in was refreshingly simple too – none of that corporate script nonsense, just real conversation about what you might want to do in the area.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity. The rooms feel spacious without being cavernous, and there’s this attention to detail that you don’t expect at a 4-star place – I’m talking about things like actually good coffee in the room, windows that open properly for fresh air, and bathrooms where the shower pressure doesn’t make you question your life choices. The beds are seriously comfortable (I slept better than I have in months), and the whole place stays surprisingly quiet even when it’s full. Parking’s easy and right there, which might sound trivial but you’ll appreciate it when you’re hauling luggage after a long drive. The common areas have this relaxed vibe where you might actually want to hang out rather than just hurry past to your room – there’s usually a fire going in the cooler months, and they’ve got these reading nooks that catch great afternoon light.

What impressed me most was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the area. Not just the obvious tourist stuff, but the kind of local spots and timing tips that can make or break a trip. They pointed me toward this little hiking trail that I never would have found otherwise, and their restaurant recommendations were spot-on.   It was such a relaxing place, I honestly can't recall when I've slept better. Really beautiful views, quiet and calm. The cats were very cute. One of the staff baked some banana bread for the guests which was such a nice touch.

  Probably one of the best stays in our lives!! (and we travel a lot!!) the cottage we stayed in was perfection – from heavenly bed, through beautiful decor, big shower room, and terrace overlooking the garden, palm trees and the ocean where we sipped our morning coffee. The owners and staff are easy to reach, very generous and hospitable. Would love to come back one day!

  We felt like we were at spa but so comfortable like our home. We were upgraded to a country cottage. The owners were super helpful and easy to talk too. They have fruit trees and it was a blast to have fresh tangerines and apple bananas. I loved the rescue cats and they were friendly. It was fun to call them in the morning to received some kitty love. The land was beautiful, and quiet. Our last night we even saw a pig and a piglet! Even though we were in the country once you’re in your room, you are at a spa. Best of both worlds. I hope we can stay there again in the near future and wish only the best to the owners. Mahalo for a much needed restful and peaceful stay.
