The staff at check-in were incredibly friendly, not in that scripted hotel way, but like they genuinely wanted to share their favorite local spots with you.

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both relaxed and well-maintained. The rooms have this cozy, lived-in quality – think comfortable rattan furniture and tropical prints that somehow work together instead of looking like a tourist trap exploded. The value is incredible for what you get, especially considering how genuine the whole experience feels. If you’re looking for marble bathrooms and concierge service, look elsewhere. But if you want a place with soul that actually delivers on its laid-back promise – somewhere you’ll find yourself recommending to friends months later – then Manta Soul Tiki Cottage is worth booking. Just don’t expect it to stay a hidden gem for much longer.
