The thing about staying here is that you’re right in the heart of Kaanapali Beach – and I’m talking about the good part, where the sand is soft and the snorkeling around Black Rock is actually worth getting up early for. The Molokai Tower is closest to the beach action, while Maui Tower sits a bit higher up the hill with those killer sunset views. Lanai Tower? Well, it’s sort of the middle child, but honestly all three have their perks. What I really appreciate is how they’ve managed the pools – there’s always somewhere quieter to escape to when the families take over the main area around noon. The lazy river isn’t huge, but it does the job, and there’s something oddly satisfying about floating around it with a drink while watching the palm trees sway.

Here’s what locals won’t tell you – this stretch of Kaanapali can get pretty busy, especially when the cruise ships dock, but the resort itself never feels overcrowded. Maybe it’s because the units are so spacious that people actually spread out instead of all clustering around the lobby. The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing too, which isn’t always a given at these larger properties. Check-in was smooth, they actually had our room ready early, and housekeeping does that thing where they leave everything perfectly arranged without being weird about it. One small thing – if you’re planning to cook (and with these kitchens, why wouldn’t you?), hit up the Times Supermarket in Lahaina for groceries rather than relying on the resort shop. Trust me on this one, your wallet will thank you. The whole experience just works, you know?
