The beds are surprisingly good for a 3-star place, though I’d probably skip the hotel WiFi if you’re planning to upload all your snorkeling videos.

What I really appreciate is the location – you’re close enough to the action without being right in the middle of the tourist madness. You can walk to some decent local eateries, and honestly, that’s where you should be eating anyway. The hotel doesn’t try to keep you trapped on property with mediocre restaurant options and inflated prices. Plus, parking is straightforward, which anyone who’s driven around Maui knows is not something to take for granted. The pool area is nothing spectacular, but it’s clean and usually not too crowded – perfect for a quick dip after a day of exploring. I’d say this place hits that sweet spot for travelers who want a comfortable base without paying resort prices, especially if you’re the type who’s going to be out exploring the island most of the time anyway. You know what you’re getting here, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Lovely upgrades to communal areas – really encouraged you to get outside your room. We had a situation in the middle of the night (nothing the fault of the hotel) and the night staff were very understanding and helpful.

  Great location near the airport. Unfortunately, their airport shuttle doesn’t start until 6am and we needed to leave by 5:30am. Reasonable hotel price in that area. Fine for one or two nights. Our room, 102, was recently updated and was nice, including upgraded patio furniture, compared to the others we saw. Nice pool and right on a small beach. Attached restaurant gives 10% off when you show your key. Nice under counter sensor nightlight comes on as you walk toward the bathroom. Friendly, professional staff.

  Location is great with the beach right out back I can’t stress this enough if you have kids that want to play on the sand. The room was clean. Staff were great.

  The staff was friendly and accommodating. The remodeled rooms are VERY nice and comfortable. The patio, lawn, pool area is pleasant with gas fires lit at night to sit and relax. The ocean view and access is lovely with the beach very private.
