Maui Sunset B-115 Overview

First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Maui Sunset B-115, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t scream resort from the outside. But you know what? That’s actually part of its charm. This three-star condo sits right on South Kihei Road, and while the building itself has that classic 1970s Hawaii vibe, the location is absolutely killer. I mean, you’re literally steps from some of the best beaches on this side of Kihei, and the parking situation — which can be a nightmare elsewhere — is completely sorted with their free on-site spots.

The Space Itself

The room (well, it’s really more like a condo unit) surprised me in the best way. Sure, it’s not going to win any interior design awards, but it’s clean, functional, and has everything you actually need for a Maui stay. The kitchen setup is pretty decent — I was able to make coffee in the morning and store leftovers from those massive plate lunch portions you get around here. What really sold me was the lanai; sitting out there with my morning coffee, watching the palm trees sway, honestly felt like exactly what I came to Hawaii for.

Location Magic

Here’s where this place really shines — the location is genuinely fantastic. You’re about a five-minute walk to Kamaole Beach Park II, which locals will tell you is one of the better family beaches on the south shore. The snorkeling at Kamaole III is even closer, and I saw more green sea turtles there than anywhere else during my trip. Plus, you’ve got Foodland just down the road for groceries, and if you’re into the local food truck scene, there’s this amazing poke truck that parks nearby most afternoons.

The Kihei Advantage

What I love about staying in this part of Kihei is that you’re right in the sweet spot — close enough to all the action but not dealing with the crowds you get up in Wailea or the tourist chaos of Lahaina. The weather here is consistently drier than the north shore, which matters more than you’d think. I actually met several couples during my stay who were repeat visitors, and they all mentioned how this area just works better for a relaxed vacation pace. You can walk to dinner, hit the beach whenever you want, and still feel like you’re experiencing the real Maui.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Maui Sunset B-115 isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, no-nonsense base for exploring one of the most beautiful islands in the world. The fact that couples keep coming back here tells you something — sometimes you don’t need fancy amenities when you’ve got incredible beaches, reliable weather, and that laid-back Kihei vibe right outside your door. For the price point, especially considering how expensive Maui can get, this place delivers exactly what most people actually want: a clean, comfortable spot with easy beach access and room to breathe.

The facilities were great, there is so much to do. They have the pool, putting green, volleyball, tennis, shuffleboard and the beach is literally right there on the property. The concierge at the pool is incredibly helpful and I would recommend having her help you to book activities, etc. Also, the owners of the condo have plenty of equipment for you to use; tennis racquets, surf boards, boogie boards. etc. The check in process was also incredibly easy.

The location was conveniently in the middle of places we wanted to explore. The open parking was also convenient, lots of availability and easy access to room. We also liked that we faced the grassy area and could walk to shore from our lanai.

The location was perfect. So close to the beach. Saw turtles every morning while walking the beach. You could see the beach and watch sunsets right from our room.
