Okay, so the name is a bit much – I mean, who puts “MOST POPULAR” in all caps, right? But honestly, after spending a few days here, I get why they’re so excited about it. This place really does sit right on one of those beaches where you’ll actually see sea turtles just cruising around in the shallows. Not like those tourist trap spots where you might glimpse one if you’re lucky – I’m talking about turtles that seem as comfortable with snorkelers as the local fish.

The hotel itself has that laid-back surf town vibe without feeling too rustic (it’s got its four stars for a reason). What really got me was how the staff just casually mentioned the best times to hit the water – apparently early morning around 7 AM is when the turtles are most active, and the afternoon swells are perfect for beginners trying to catch their first real waves. You know what I loved? They actually lend out decent snorkel gear, not those foggy masks you usually get. The rooms are clean and comfortable – nothing fancy, but the ocean-facing ones have these wide windows where you can literally watch the surf report unfold in real time.

The beach access is what makes this place special though. You’re not walking through some resort gauntlet or paying extra fees – just straight out onto sand that’s somehow both great for beginners learning to surf and deep enough close to shore for proper snorkeling. I watched kids building sandcastles while their parents were out riding waves, and honestly, that’s pretty rare. The coral formations start maybe 50 yards out, and the water stays clear enough that you can spot turtles from the surface before you even put your mask on. Fair warning though – it gets busy around 10 AM when the day-trippers show up, so if you want that peaceful underwater experience with just you and the sea life, get out there early. The parking situation is actually pretty decent (I was worried about that), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no pushy upsells or mandatory resort presentations. Just people who clearly love living near the ocean and want you to experience it the right way.
