Nohonani 104 Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Nohonani 104, I’ll be honest — it’s not the kind of place that screams for attention from the street. This three-star condo sits quietly in Kahana, and that’s actually part of its charm. You know what struck me right away? The building feels like it belongs here, tucked into the landscape rather than fighting against it. There’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try too hard to impress you before you even walk through the door.
The Kahana Advantage
Here’s the thing about staying in Kahana — you’re getting the real Maui without the tourist circus that comes with some of the busier resort areas. I mean, you’re still close enough to everything (Lahaina’s about 15 minutes south, Kapalua’s maybe 10 minutes north), but you can actually find parking at the beach and grab dinner without a reservation. The local grocery store is right there when you need supplies, and honestly, the sunsets from this stretch of coast are just as spectacular as anywhere else on the island.
The Space Itself
The apartment layout works really well for couples — which makes sense since that’s who tends to love this place most. The kitchen isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you actually need if you want to make breakfast or pack lunches for beach days. What I appreciated was how the living area flows naturally, so you don’t feel cramped even when you’re both hanging out inside. The lanai (that’s the balcony, for those not familiar with Hawaiian terms) became my morning coffee spot — there’s something about that cross-breeze that just works.
Beach Life and Beyond
Kahana Beach is literally a two-minute walk, and this is where the location really shines. The snorkeling here is actually better than some of the more famous spots — fewer crowds, clearer water, and the fish seem more relaxed. I spent hours just floating around out there. When you want a change of pace, Napili Bay is close enough for an easy stroll, and that’s where you’ll find some excellent local food trucks that most tourists never discover. The whole area has this laid-back vibe that makes you slow down whether you want to or not.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Nohonani 104 isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a comfortable, well-located base for exploring Maui without the resort prices or crowds. Recent guests have been rating the location a perfect 10, and after spending time there, I get it. You’re close to everything that matters — beaches, restaurants, hiking trails — but you come home to peace and quiet. For couples especially, there’s something appealing about having your own space to decompress after days of adventure. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax, and sometimes that’s exactly what a vacation needs to be.

This is one of my best vacation experience as the property's settings and location, probably one of the best on the island. The room has everything you may need. On the ocean setting was very unique, the view was spectacular and very relaxing, has it's own small beach, sea turtles often slept there.

Liegt zwar direkt am Wasser, in das man aber wg des steinigen Untergrundes nur schwer hineinkommt!
