Oasis Hotel Waikiki Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Oasis Hotel Waikiki on Lewers Street, you immediately get that “right in the thick of things” feeling. This three-star property sits smack in the heart of Waikiki, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building itself has that classic Hawaiian hotel vibe — nothing too flashy, but clean and welcoming with tropical touches that remind you you’re definitely not in Kansas anymore. What struck me right away was how the staff seemed genuinely happy to see guests, not just going through the motions like at some of the bigger chain hotels nearby.
Prime Waikiki Location
Here’s the thing about location — it really is everything in Waikiki, and this place nails it. You’re literally steps from the beach, which means you can pop back to your room whenever you need a break from the sun or forgot your sunscreen. The hotel sits in what locals know is the sweet spot of Waikiki, close enough to all the action on Kalakaua Avenue but just off the main drag so you’re not dealing with constant street noise. I mean, couples absolutely love this area — they consistently rate the location nearly a 9 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why.
The Rooms and Amenities
The rooms at Oasis Hotel Waikiki are exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star property — comfortable, clean, and functional without any unnecessary frills. You’re not getting marble bathrooms or designer furniture, but everything works well and feels fresh. The air conditioning is reliable (crucial in Hawaii), and most rooms have decent views, though you’ll want to manage expectations if you’re hoping for oceanfront vistas. What I really appreciated was having private parking available right at the hotel — you know how rare and expensive parking can be in Waikiki, so this is actually a pretty big deal if you’re planning to rent a car.
Getting Around and Nearby Attractions
From here, you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Waikiki. The beach is obviously the main draw, but you’re also within easy walking distance of the International Market Place, tons of restaurants, and the zoo if you’re traveling with kids. What’s nice is that you can easily explore other parts of Oahu too — the hotel’s location makes it simple to catch buses or grab an Uber to places like Diamond Head or downtown Honolulu. The neighborhood has that perfect tourist-friendly vibe where you feel safe walking around at night, but it’s not so sanitized that it feels fake.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Oasis Hotel Waikiki isn’t trying to be the fanciest place on the island, and that’s actually part of its charm. It’s the kind of hotel where you get solid value without paying resort prices, and the location really can’t be beat. Couples especially seem to appreciate the balance — you’re close to romantic sunset walks on the beach and great restaurants, but you’re not breaking the bank on accommodation costs. The fact that you can park your car here and walk to most attractions means you’re saving money and hassle right from the start. It’s honest, straightforward hospitality in one of the best spots in Honolulu.

Faith from United States (9/10)
I loved the facilities and the staff. They were so welcoming and accommodating. The common areas are sprinkled with gathering spaces that are calming and comfortable. The fish pond is lovely. The hammock chairs are a nice touch. Its wheelchair accessibility wasn't perfect, but it was pretty darn good. There are amazing food options within steps of the hotel. I could have had a lovely vacation without leaving the premises.
