Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment you walk in, you can actually hear the waves – not like a distant rumble, but that proper ocean sound that makes your shoulders drop instantly. This Kailua-Kona townhome sits right where it should, perched close enough to the water that you’ll be checking the lanai every few minutes just because the view keeps changing as the light shifts throughout the day.

The pool situation is honestly pretty sweet – it’s not huge, but it’s that perfect temperature where you can float around with a beer while watching the sunset paint everything orange and pink. I mean, you’re literally looking out over the Pacific while soaking, which never really gets old. The townhome itself feels lived-in in the best way, like someone’s favorite vacation spot that they’ve slowly perfected over time. The kitchen actually has everything you need (sharp knives, decent pans – you’d be surprised how rare that is), and there’s this great covered outdoor area where we ended up eating most of our meals because, honestly, why wouldn’t you?

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Kailua-Kona can get pretty bustling during the day with all the cruise ship crowds and tour groups, but this spot feels removed from that chaos without being isolated. You’re still close enough to walk down for dinner at one of those local Hawaiian plate lunch spots (there’s this place that does incredible poke that locals actually go to), but far enough that you’re not dealing with the Ali’i Drive traffic noise. The whole setup just works – parking was easy, check-in was straightforward, and the Wi-Fi actually functioned when we needed to look up snorkeling spots. Sure, it’s a 3-star place so don’t expect marble countertops or anything fancy, but everything’s clean and comfortable, and that lanai… I keep coming back to that view because it really is the kind of thing that makes you understand why people move to Hawaii and never leave.

Visitors often choose Hawaii apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent Pacific paradise.

The view of the ocean was wonderful. We loved the large window by the dining area, and the lanai was great. The town house was spacious, comfortable and I liked the layout. It was close to Kona which was nice.

  • Adam from Canada (7/10)

Location of the Sea Villages was centrally located, close to town and beaches. The unit #3113 had probably the best location in the resort, a few steps to the pool deck and an unobstructed view of Kailua Bay. Really enjoyed the beach equipment (boogie boards, beach chairs) that was left for renters to use. The host was very accommodating with our check-out request.

  • Eve from United States (6/10)

The location was really great! Oceanfront with views to north and west! The pool and bbq areas were great!

    We loved the view

  • John from United States (8/10)

This was a beautiful place, not 30′ from the water, 180 degree views, next to the swimming pool, well stocked, clean, well kept up. One of the best condos we ever rented. No AC but great flow through ventilation.
