The rooms have that lived-in comfort – not luxury, but everything works properly and the beds are surprisingly good. I sleep really well here, partly because the building’s positioned away from the main road noise. You’ll hear the ocean at night instead of traffic, which honestly makes a huge difference. The kitchenette setup is actually functional too – I’ve made proper breakfasts, not just reheated leftovers. Small thing, but the coffee maker is decent quality, not one of those terrible pod machines.

You’re close enough to walk to some really good local spots (there’s this taco place about three blocks down that the front desk will definitely tell you about), but far enough from the touristy chaos to actually unwind. I’ve been here during both busy summer weeks and quieter off-season times, and the experience stays consistently good. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not fancy, it delivers on what matters: comfort, location, and that rare feeling that you’re staying somewhere genuine rather than corporate. If you’re looking for marble lobbies and concierge services, look elsewhere. But if you want a place that feels more like a well-run local spot where you can actually relax and enjoy being near the water without breaking the bank, Pacific Shores A-209 hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  everything! the parking was great, reserved and easy to find. management was very easy to speak to and fast in replying to questions. condo was fully equipped with necessary appliances and beach gear. we loved it!!!
