You can literally hear the waves from most units, and I’m talking about that gentle, constant sound that becomes your soundtrack – not the crashing noise that keeps you up at night. The building sits close enough to the action that you’ll walk to Brennecke’s Beach Broiler for dinner without thinking twice, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the daytime beach crowd tramping past your lanai. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s spent time in Poipu during peak season will tell you is not something to take for granted.

What really won me over was how the place feels lived-in rather than hotel-sterile. The units have that comfortable, slightly worn-in quality that comes from actual people using them for real vacations – you know, families making pancakes on Sunday morning, couples having coffee while watching the sunrise, that sort of thing.
