Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally steps from Polo Beach, which honestly might be one of Maui’s best-kept secrets. While everyone’s crowding Wailea Beach, you can walk right out and have this gorgeous stretch of sand mostly to yourself. The snorkeling here is actually incredible, especially around the rocky areas. I mean, you’re also just a quick drive from the Grand Wailea and other big resorts if you want their restaurants or activities, but you get to come back to something much more peaceful.

The Accommodations

The units here feel more like staying in someone’s vacation condo than a typical hotel room. Each apartment comes with a full kitchen, which honestly saved me a fortune on dining out — and let’s face it, eating every meal at resort prices gets old fast. The spaces are pretty generous too, with separate living areas and lanais where you can actually hear the ocean. They’re not the most modern or flashy, but everything works well and the ocean views from most units are genuinely stunning.

Practical Perks

You know what’s surprisingly nice? The free parking on site. I know that sounds basic, but when you’re in Wailea and some places charge $30+ per night just to park, it actually matters. The property also has a decent pool area and there’s a small spa if you want treatments without the resort markup. The staff here tends to remember your name after a day or two, which gives it this more personal feel that you just don’t get at the mega-resorts down the road.

This place really shines for couples — there’s something about the quieter atmosphere and those sunset views from the lanais that just works for romantic getaways. You’re getting the Wailea experience without paying Wailea prices, and honestly, the beach access alone makes it worth it.   The views and being on the island of Maui. The location next to the other resort complexes in Wailea was a desirable option. To be honest the quality and amenities of unit 508 Polo Beach where very disappointing.
