After spending a full day hiking, there’s something almost surreal about soaking in hot water while listening to the forest come alive around you. The sound layers are incredible – you’ve got the obvious bird calls, but then there’s this constant rustle and whisper of leaves, and if you’re quiet enough, you might catch some of the wildlife moving around. The hosts clearly know their stuff about maintaining the tub because the water was consistently clean and the temperature was spot-on every time I used it.

What surprised me most was how well they’ve balanced that rustic rainforest vibe with actual comfort. Sure, it’s got that three-star feel – don’t expect marble countertops or fancy toiletries – but everything works exactly as it should. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), the shower had good pressure, and the kitchen setup was more functional than I expected. The 9.5 rating makes total sense when you experience it, because they’ve nailed the essentials without trying to be something they’re not. Parking was straightforward, check-in was smooth, and honestly, the whole property feels like it belongs in its setting rather than being dropped there by some corporate chain. The mornings are particularly magical – you’ll want to get up early just to experience the forest waking up, maybe grab your coffee and sit outside before the day hikers start streaming toward the park. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down a bit, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to disconnect from everything else.

  L’emplacement( près du parc national des volcans, maison dans la nature , bel aménagement extérieur). Maison bien fonctionnelle. Salle de bain, cuisine, chambre et petit salon assez bien équipés.
  Le hot tube a été très apprécié après des randonnées dans le parc!
