Most rooms have at least partial ocean views, and if you’re lucky enough to snag one facing the water, you’ll wake up to some pretty spectacular sunrises. The bathrooms are standard hotel fare, though I appreciated that the water pressure was consistently good. Air conditioning works well too, which matters more than you might think when you’re dealing with Hawaiian humidity.

The pool area is smaller than some of the resort-style properties, but it’s clean and gets good sun most of the day. There’s a fitness center that covers the basics if you need to work off all that plate lunch and shave ice. What I really appreciated was how the front desk staff knew their stuff about local transportation — they helped me figure out the bus routes to get around the island without renting a car every day. The hotel also has a decent restaurant on-site, though honestly, with all the incredible local food options nearby, you’ll probably want to venture out.

  Windows don't open which is a shame..book balcony for +$40/nite more.for fresher air,..comfy bed, good inroom coffee,very clean,microwave,fridge,air con,good sized TV,amazing phillipino staff…bit dated but you aren't paying big bux, like most accoms in Hawaii.

  It’s location near to Waikīkī town and easy to catch the hop on hop off trolley & busses for sightseeing. Unit had ironing board which was useful for business trip.
