Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about soulfactory Hawaii? The name makes it sound like some trendy wellness retreat, but honestly, it’s more of a laid-back spot that just happens to get the vibe right without trying too hard. I mean, it’s a solid 3-star place – nothing fancy, but there’s something genuinely authentic about it that you don’t always find in Hawaii hotels these days.
The whole place has this relaxed, almost residential feel that I actually prefer to those massive resort complexes. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no pushy upselling or overwhelming orientation speeches about seventeen different pools and activities. The staff seemed like actual locals who’ve been around the island for a while, not seasonal workers reading from scripts. They’ll give you real recommendations too, like which food trucks to hit up and when the tourist crowds thin out at popular beaches. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough, though don’t expect luxury finishes – think more like a well-maintained apartment your cool cousin might rent. But here’s the thing: the beds are actually decent (I’m picky about this), and the AC works properly, which honestly matters more than marble countertops when you’re dealing with Hawaiian humidity.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the main party strips that you can actually sleep. Parking wasn’t a nightmare either – and if you’ve spent any time in Hawaii, you know that’s not something to take for granted. The whole area has this neighborhood feel where you’ll see the same faces at the nearby coffee shop or grocery store. It’s not the kind of place where you’re isolated in a tourist bubble, which is either perfect or terrible depending on what you’re after. The 7.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow you away with Instagram-worthy amenities, but it delivers on the basics and has that intangible quality that makes you feel like you’re experiencing a slice of real island life. If you’re someone who values authentic atmosphere over fancy resort amenities and doesn’t need someone arranging your entire itinerary, soulfactory Hawaii might surprise you in the best way.
Apartments in Hawaii provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at traditional farmers markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned Hawaiian culinary traditions.

Overall it was a good experience. Fairly easy to get inside. Code was provided through Booking.com and worked well when we were trying to check in. The room was as showen as in the pictures. It was enough for the 2 of us since we were on a small budget and planning on being out and about all day anyways. The beds were really comfortable and we appreciated the water filter machine in the lobby.

This property is NOT beachfront, but it is an easy access to the beach, which is great. As Waikiki is so expensive, we were pleased to have booked a property with a kitchenette – it was squeezed in, but saved us so much money. Just a kettle and a microwave and we were set. Considering the apartment is pretty small, there was lots of handy storage, plenty of shelves and hooks and we weren’t tripping over our luggage. Happy to have shower gel, shampoo and conditioner too and our host allowed us to check in early as we arrived quite early, so that was brilliant. Very close to shops, bus stops, the beach and parks, so a great location.

The location of the property was wonderful. I was close to bus stops, ABC stores, many shops and restaurants. Owner was very quick responding when I had questions.
