Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about The Laylow? It’s got this mid-century modern vibe that actually feels authentic, not like someone just threw some Eames chairs in a lobby and called it retro. I mean, you walk in and there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about the design here — the wood paneling has this warm honey tone, and the lighting is dim enough to feel sophisticated but bright enough that you’re not squinting at your phone. The whole place has this sort of understated cool factor that works whether you’re here for business or just want to feel like you have better taste than you probably do.
What really won me over, honestly, was how the staff handles things. Check-in was smooth without being overly scripted — you get the sense they’ve seen enough travelers to know what you need before you ask for it. The rooms themselves are smaller than what you’d get at some of the bigger chain hotels, but everything’s been thoughtfully placed. The bathroom actually has counter space (thank god), and the shower pressure is solid. I stayed on the sixth floor and it was pretty quiet, though I imagine the lower floors might pick up some street noise — it’s not exactly tucked away on a residential block. The air conditioning works well, which matters more than you’d think, and there’s this nice touch where they provide actual hangers instead of those theft-proof monstrosities that don’t actually hold your clothes properly.
The location puts you within walking distance of some really good food options, and you’re close enough to the main action without being right in the thick of tourist central. Parking isn’t included, which is honestly what I expected, but the valet team is efficient and you don’t feel like you’re waiting around forever to get your car back. The pool area is compact but well-maintained — it’s not going to be your all-day hangout spot, but it’s perfect for a quick swim or lounging with a drink. Speaking of drinks, the bar downstairs knows what they’re doing. I had what might have been the best mai tai I’ve encountered, and the bartender didn’t give me that look when I asked them to make it less sweet. The whole operation feels like it’s run by people who actually care about hospitality rather than just going through corporate motions. It’s the kind of place where you’d bring someone you’re trying to impress, but you’d also be perfectly comfortable staying here solo when you just want things to work smoothly without any drama.

The location is central to everything, right next to ABC store, Target and the International Market Place. Easy access to restaurants, cafes and shops.
Close to the Waikiki beach too.
Hotel receptionists and the bellmen are very friendly and polite.
During our stay, there were loud noises made by other hotel occupants made in the hallway early in the morning on a daily basis. The receptionists were very professional and considerate and did their best to solve the problem. They would called you back and let you know what they did and see if there was anything else they could do.Gary from United States (9/10)

A unique hotel with Hawaiian style and laid back feel. Staff were very friendly end welcoming. Our kids loved the pool, shaved ice, ukulele lesson and lei making activities.
I also lost my phone charger and the staff happily charged it for me, EVERY DAY!Karl from Australia (9/10)
Great hotel for a family of five, as the hotel allows three children of our kids age (11) to stay in one room with the parents. Kids liked free shave ice and flower necklace making one time per day.
