Top-Floor Kailua Bay Resort Condo with Ocean Views!

Okay, so I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Kailua, and this top-floor condo honestly surprised me. You know how sometimes vacation rentals can be hit or miss? Well, this one’s definitely a hit. The moment you walk in, you’re just smacked with this incredible ocean view that stretches across the entire bay – I mean, I literally stopped mid-conversation when I first saw it. The lanai faces directly toward those gorgeous turquoise waters that Kailua’s famous for, and you can actually see the Mokulua Islands (those twin islands that everyone photographs) without any buildings blocking your view.

What I really loved about being on the top floor is that you’re above all the foot traffic and beach noise, but you can still hear the waves if you open the sliding doors at night. The trade winds hit you perfectly up there too – honestly, we barely used the AC because the cross-breeze was so good. The condo itself feels lived-in but well-maintained, you know? Like someone’s actual vacation home rather than some sterile rental property. The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to cook (and you should, because the grocery prices in Kailua can be brutal), and there’s beach gear in the closet which saved us probably fifty bucks in rental fees.

Here’s what’s really convenient – you’re maybe a three-minute walk to Kailua Beach, and I timed it because my friend didn’t believe me. You just head down toward Kailua Road and boom, you’re on arguably one of the best beaches in Hawaii. The parking situation around here can be absolutely insane during peak season (like December through March), but staying this close means you can just walk back to the condo for lunch or a nap without dealing with all that. Plus, you’re close enough to Kalapawai Market to grab those amazing sandwiches everyone raves about, and if you need anything fancier, Whole Foods is just a quick drive into town. The only thing I’d mention is that the building’s not super new, so don’t expect resort-level amenities – but honestly, with that view and location, who cares? You’re going to be on the beach most of the time anyway. For the price point and that killer ocean view, it’s really hard to beat.

  Location was beautiful as we had our breakfast out on the balcony every morning overlooking the water or the mountains.

  We met 2 friends from different places for a reunion of old souls. The place was centrally located and accomodated us for 2 bedrooms and a comfortable couch that folded down into a bed. We saw amazing sunsets with rainbows on the mountain and beauriful cloud show. We would sit on the balcony and watch the whales jump outta the water all the way making huge splashes with their tales. All of this viewed without binoculars. AMAZING PLACE. 2 block walk to shops and swimming. AMAZING!!!!
