Wailea Ekahi Village – CoralTree Residence Collection Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Wailea Ekahi Village – CoralTree Residence Collection, you immediately get that “this isn’t your typical hotel” feeling. It’s more like stepping into a residential community where you happen to be staying — which, honestly, is exactly what makes this three-star property so appealing. The low-rise buildings blend seamlessly into Wailea’s landscape, and there’s this relaxed, unhurried vibe that hits you right away. You know what I mean? It’s like the property actually belongs here, rather than being dropped onto the coastline as an afterthought.
Location & Neighborhood
The location is honestly spectacular — and I’m not just saying that because recent guests rated it 8.8 out of 10. You’re right in the heart of Wailea, which means you can walk to some of Maui’s most beautiful beaches without dealing with the chaos of resort crowds. Wailea Beach is practically next door, and if you want to explore, Ulua Beach and Mokapu Beach are just a short stroll away. The fact that there’s free parking on site is actually a huge deal here — parking in Wailea can be a nightmare, especially during peak season, so having your own guaranteed spot takes away that stress completely.
The Accommodations
These aren’t hotel rooms in the traditional sense — they’re actual condominiums, which means you get a full kitchen, separate living areas, and often multiple bedrooms depending on what you book. I mean, having a real kitchen when you’re staying somewhere for more than a few days is game-changing, especially with grocery stores nearby. The units feel lived-in rather than sterile, and while the furnishings aren’t cutting-edge modern, they’re comfortable and functional. Most units have lanais (that’s Hawaiian for balcony) where you can actually sit with your morning coffee and watch the island wake up.
The Experience
What really sets this place apart is how it caters to people who want to experience Maui like locals rather than tourists rushing from activity to activity. There’s a pool area that’s perfect for lazy afternoons, and the grounds are well-maintained without feeling overly manicured. You’ll often see couples here — apparently they rate it particularly highly for romantic getaways — and I can see why. It’s intimate without being isolated, and there’s something about having your own space that makes everything feel more special. The staff operates more like property managers than hotel employees, which works well once you understand the setup.
Why Guests Love It
People keep coming back to Wailea Ekahi Village because it offers something most hotels can’t — the feeling of actually living in paradise for a while. You’re not just visiting Wailea; you’re temporarily part of it. The combination of that prime location, the residential-style accommodations, and the freedom to come and go as you please creates this perfect middle ground between a vacation rental and a traditional hotel stay. Plus, when you can walk to world-class beaches and still have your own kitchen to make breakfast, well — that’s the kind of flexibility that makes a good vacation great.
Apartments in Hawaii provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at traditional farmers markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned Hawaiian culinary traditions.

The property was beautiful with mature foliage and tropical flowers. The main pool was large (and heated) and just steps from the sandy beach.
Nice BBQ facility and the apartment was immaculate, comfortable and had a spectacular view of the ocean. A large lanai was right off the kitchen and living room and was equipped with a table, chairs and lounge chairs,
which we loved.
The apartment also had an abundance of drawer space, which was nice for our longer stay, and the closet had plenty of hangars as well.
We loved our stay and will definitely return in the future!Crystal from United States (9/10)
Our condo was clean and nicely furnished. The washer/dryer, ocean view, private resort beach access, free parking, accessible snorkeling and linen service were especially liked. It was minutes from our conference at the Amanda’s resort but much more accommodating than a hotel room with the full kitchen. Check in was easy and we really liked the community kitchen and eating space near the pool.

The condo was just beautiful inside. Looks like it was all remodeled. They had a well stocked kitchen with all the utensils, bowls, etc. needed. They supplied coffee for the amount of days we were there. It had beautiful out outside patios. The only thing is, I think they should flip their mattresses a little bit more, it was just a wonderful place to stay

Although it's a large facility with many units, ours was quiet and private. It was huge and tastefully decorated. We could easily walk to the beach. The 2 large decks gave us multiple, gorgeous sunset views.

Excellent location at a great price. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The bed was a memory foam mattress that was very comfortable. Great ocean view from the balcony. There was a nice pavilion at the beach access. About a 5 minute walk to the beach.
