The living area flows naturally, and you’ll find yourself spending way more time on that lanai than you planned, watching the sunset paint the sky every single evening.

Here’s the thing about staying right on Alii Drive — you’re literally in the heart of everything without feeling overwhelmed by crowds. The famous White Sands Beach (yeah, that’s where the complex gets its name) is basically your backyard, and it’s one of the few actual sandy beaches on this rocky coastline. You can walk to Huggo’s for dinner, grab coffee at Island Lava Java in the morning, or just stroll down to watch the sunset at Magic Sands Beach. The parking situation is actually stress-free here too, which anyone who’s driven around Kona will tell you is a genuine blessing.

What Makes It Special

The front building position means you’re getting those unobstructed ocean views that other units in the complex just can’t match. I’ve stayed in a few different spots around Kona, and honestly, this location hits that sweet spot between being close to everything but still feeling like your own private retreat. The trade winds flow through perfectly, so you’re not constantly cranking the AC like you would in some of the more inland properties. Plus, being on the top floor means you’re above most of the street noise — though let’s be real, Alii Drive isn’t exactly a busy highway anyway.

Why Guests Love It

Couples especially seem to fall for this place, and I totally get why. There’s something romantic about having your morning coffee while watching the waves crash just below, then spending your day exploring tide pools or snorkeling at nearby Kahalu’u Beach.
