Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this place? The name says “Beachside Kihei” and honestly, it delivers on that promise in ways that matter. I mean, Kihei can be hit or miss depending on where exactly you end up, but this rental sits in one of those sweet spots where you actually feel like you’re in Hawaii, not just some random condo complex that happens to be near water.
The views are legitimately stunning – and I don’t throw that word around lightly after seeing too many “ocean view” places where you need binoculars to spot blue water. Here, you’re waking up to legit panoramic scenes of the Pacific, and if you’re lucky enough to be there during whale season (roughly December through April), well, you might find yourself glued to those windows with your morning coffee. The sunsets are absolutely ridiculous from the lanai – that golden hour light hitting the water while Molokini Crater sits there in the distance like some perfect postcard backdrop.
What I really appreciated was how this place feels lived-in rather than sterile. It’s got that comfortable, broken-in vibe that makes you want to actually relax instead of worrying about messing something up. The kitchen’s well-stocked enough that you can handle real cooking (not just reheating takeout), which is clutch because eating out every meal in Kihei adds up fast. Plus, you’re walking distance to some solid local spots – there’s this little fish market nearby where locals actually shop, not just the tourist traps along South Kihei Road.
Parking’s straightforward, which anyone who’s dealt with Maui accommodations knows is a genuine blessing. The building itself is quiet enough that you won’t hear your neighbors’ entire vacation soundtrack, but you’re still close enough to the action that you don’t feel isolated. I found myself doing that thing where you leave the windows open at night to hear the waves – something you definitely can’t do at places further inland or near the busier resort areas.
Sure, it’s a 3-star spot, so don’t expect marble countertops or a concierge, but that 8.4 rating makes sense once you’re settled in. The trade-off between luxury amenities and authentic location is totally worth it, especially if you’re more interested in experiencing Maui than being pampered in a resort bubble. You’re close enough to walk to Kalama Park for some decent snorkeling, and the whole South Kihei scene is right there when you want restaurants or groceries. Actually, that’s probably the biggest selling point – you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some sanitized vacation fantasy. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay if you can swing it.

The location was perfect, 1.7 miles from everything we wanted to go to. There was a pool just in case you didn’t want the ocean. It was near a public park with tennis courts and a few feet away from the beach.

Unit 305. Right on the beach. Clean rooms and good beds. Plenty of beach towels and chairs. Fully stocked kitchen. Great lanai. Free designated parking. Great property manager on the property who helped with batteries. The bathroom upgrade is great. Large rain shower and upgraded faucets. Property manager is excellent – very helpful. Premium flooring was noteworthy.
