Speaking of relaxing, the penthouse setup means you get real space to spread out, which is rare in Waikiki unless you’re dropping serious cash at the big resorts. The views depend on which direction you’re facing, but honestly, you’re high enough that even the city-side views have character – you can see all the way to the mountains on clear mornings.

What really sold me was the practical stuff working well. Check-in was smooth, the elevator situation isn’t a nightmare (you’d be surprised how many high-rise places in Waikiki have ancient, slow elevators), and the AC actually keeps the place comfortable even during those sticky afternoon hours. The only minor thing – and this might just be a Waikiki reality – is that parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re renting a car, but most people staying here are probably walking or using rideshares anyway. The 9.0 rating makes sense when you experience it; it’s one of those places where the small details are handled right, from having enough outlets near the bed to actually decent water pressure in the shower. During my stay in shoulder season, it felt like a solid home base that didn’t make me feel like I was missing out on anything the big hotels offer, but without all the crowds and resort fees they love to tack on.
