Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be straight with you about the Hawaiian Oasis – it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be the Moana Surfrider, and honestly, that’s exactly why I keep coming back. When you first walk into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense of relief because you’re not dealing with marble floors and intimidating concierges who make you feel underdressed. It’s got that lived-in Hawaii vibe that actually feels authentic, you know what I mean?

The thing about staying here is the location – and I don’t mean that in the generic “convenient location” way everyone says. I mean you’re literally a two-minute shuffle to the beach in your flip-flops, but you’re just far enough back from Kalakaua Avenue that you’re not hearing tour buses rumbling by at 6 AM. The rooms are… well, they’re three-star rooms, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything fancy. But the AC works (crucial in August, trust me), the beds are actually comfortable, and most rooms have at least a peek of the ocean if you crane your neck on the lanai. What I really appreciate is that housekeeping seems to genuinely care – towels are always fresh, and they don’t just spray air freshener over yesterday’s mustiness like some places do.

Here’s what sold me on this place though: the people. The front desk staff actually remembers your name after day two, and they’ll give you real recommendations, not just the tourist trap stuff. Maria at the front desk told me about this little poke place on Kapahulu Avenue that I never would’ve found otherwise – honestly better than anything on the main strip and half the price. The pool area gets pretty busy during pau hana hours when the locals who work nearby sometimes stop by for drinks, which gives it this cool neighborhood feel you don’t get at the big resort hotels. Sure, it’s not Instagram-perfect, but there’s something nice about a pool where kids are actually allowed to play without getting dirty looks. Parking is $15 a day, which honestly isn’t terrible for Waikiki, and they don’t make you feel guilty about coming and going. You know how some hotels act like they’re doing you a favor? Not here. The only real downside is that the elevator can be painfully slow during check-in rushes, so if you’re on the seventh floor with heavy bags, maybe time your arrivals accordingly. But for the price point and the genuine aloha spirit, the Hawaiian Oasis delivers exactly what it promises – a solid, no-nonsense base for exploring the island without the pretense or the resort fees that’ll make your credit card weep.

This location is right by Waikiki beach it’s within a two blocks, also this place is located in the HEART AND HUB of Waikiki it’s within walking distance from everywhere which was perfect for me! also if you want to take the bus it’s located right outside the hotel, the hotel has a swimming pool and hot tub which is nice if you want some downtime from going out to the beach all day.
The location of this room is perfect, it’s right off of the main road so you aren’t hearing much of the noise from the busy street.
