What really makes this spot work is its position as a launching pad for the kind of Big Island adventures that’ll make your Instagram followers actually jealous. I mean, you’re maybe twenty minutes from some of the most accessible lava viewing areas – though honestly, that changes depending on what Pele’s up to these days.   I liked the privacy and the fact the unit was self contained with a reasonable kitchen allowing real meals to be prepared at home. The location was also great if you like staying on the Puna side of the island.
