The location is pretty sweet too, and I’m not just saying that because it sounds good. You’re basically a short walk from Kamaole Beach Park II, which locals just call Kam II – it’s that middle beach that’s perfect because it gets less crowded than Kam I but has better facilities than Kam III. The snorkeling there is decent in the mornings before the wind picks up, and you’ll actually see families from Kihei hanging out there on weekends, not just tourists. What I really appreciated was being able to walk to places like Coconut’s Fish Cafe for poke bowls without having to deal with parking in Wailea (trust me, that’s a headache you want to avoid). The whole South Kihei area has this laid-back vibe where you can grab groceries at Foodland Farms, hit up some food trucks, and still feel like you’re experiencing real Hawaii rather than just resort bubble life.

Now, it’s a 3-star property managed by Coldwell Banker, so don’t expect fancy resort perks – but honestly, that 8.0 rating makes sense because it delivers on what matters most. The kitchens are actually well-equipped (I was able to make proper breakfasts, not just reheat leftovers), and having that extra bedroom means someone can nap while others are still hanging out. The trade winds usually keep things comfortable, though you might hear some road noise from South Kihei Road depending on which unit you get. Check-in was straightforward – none of that resort rigmarole with presentations about timeshares. I’d say it hits that sweet spot where you get the space and location you want without paying Wailea prices, and sometimes that’s exactly what a Maui trip needs.
