Nohonani 104 Overview
You know what, Nohonani 104 isn’t going to blow you away with fancy lobbies or doormen in white gloves, but honestly? That’s kind of the point. This is one of those places that gets it right in ways that matter more than star ratings suggest. When I first pulled up, I’ll admit I had that moment of “okay, this is pretty low-key” – but after spending time there, I actually started to appreciate how unpretentious the whole vibe is. The building itself has that straightforward Hawaiian apartment-style setup that you see all over the islands, nothing flashy but solid and practical. Check-in was refreshingly simple, none of that drawn-out process where they try to upsell you on everything under the sun.
What really won me over was how the place just… works. The room was clean and comfortable without trying too hard, and I mean that in the best way possible. Sometimes you stay somewhere that’s so busy trying to impress you with marble this and gold-plated that, but here everything felt purposeful. The air conditioning actually worked (crucial in Hawaii, trust me), the shower had decent water pressure, and the bed was legitimately comfortable – not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete. The kitchenette was basic but functional, which came in handy since eating out for every meal adds up fast on the islands. I could hear some street noise in the evenings, but nothing that a white noise app couldn’t handle, and honestly it felt more authentic than being completely isolated from the neighborhood.
Look, I’m not going to pretend this is some luxury resort experience – the 7.0 rating is probably pretty fair, all things considered. But here’s the thing about Nohonani 104: it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense or disappointment. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure things ran smoothly, and there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on the basics instead of trying to be something it’s not. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and room service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a clean, reliable base for exploring without paying resort prices, and you appreciate that authentic local feel over tourist bubble perfection, then this place makes a lot of sense. I’d definitely consider staying here again – sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just get out of your way and let you enjoy where you actually are.

This is one of my best vacation experience as the property's settings and location, probably one of the best on the island. The room has everything you may need. On the ocean setting was very unique, the view was spectacular and very relaxing, has it's own small beach, sea turtles often slept there.

Liegt zwar direkt am Wasser, in das man aber wg des steinigen Untergrundes nur schwer hineinkommt!
