The moment you walk in, there’s this fireplace that’s clearly been used (not just for show), and the whole space feels like someone actually lives there instead of staging it for photos.

The outdoor shower is where this place really won me over, though. I mean, I was skeptical at first – outdoor showers can be gimmicky or just plain uncomfortable. But this one’s tucked into this little private courtyard area, and there’s something genuinely therapeutic about showering under the sky. The water pressure’s solid too, which honestly makes or breaks the whole experience. Just heads up though – if you’re visiting in cooler months, you might want to time your showers for the warmer parts of the day. I learned that the hard way on a chilly morning.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re not dealing with street noise or thin walls where you hear every conversation from the next room. The fireplace becomes the perfect spot to wind down – we ended up spending way more time just sitting there with a bottle of wine than I’d planned. The whole setup feels intimate without being cramped, if that makes sense. It’s got that three-star comfort level where everything works properly (good WiFi, decent coffee maker, shower that actually gets hot quickly) but without any of the stuffiness you sometimes get at fancier places. Check-in was smooth too – none of that awkward keypad fumbling or confusing instructions that seem to plague half the vacation rentals out there. Honestly, it’s the kind of place where you could easily extend your stay by a day or two without getting restless.

  The door has a key code, so I liked not having to interact with the host, which is only a great thing if everything runs smoothly, which it did. One of the best features was having access to washer/dryer on the premises, which is so handy!
