You know what surprised me most about Wailea Ekahi Village? It’s actually got this low-key, residential vibe that feels nothing like a typical resort — and I mean that in the best possible way. When you first pull up, it honestly looks more like you’re visiting someone’s really nice neighborhood than checking into a hotel. The whole CoralTree collection has this thing where they take over existing condo complexes and run them like boutique properties, and here it really works.

The location is kind of perfect if you want to be in Wailea without the scene at the Grand Wailea or Fairmont down the road. You’re literally a two-minute walk to Keawakapu Beach, which locals will tell you is one of the better stretches of sand on this side of the island — less crowded than the main resort beaches but still that gorgeous white sand you came to Maui for. I spent most mornings there with my coffee because, honestly, why wouldn’t you? The units themselves feel like actual apartments rather than hotel rooms, which makes sense since that’s basically what they are. Full kitchens, washer and dryer, lanais that actually feel private. It’s three stars on paper, but the bones of the place are solid — I mean, this is Wailea, so even the “budget” option is pretty nice.

What really sold me on the place was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to walk to shops at Wailea Village (maybe ten minutes if you’re not in a hurry), but far enough from the main hotel action that you’re not dealing with pool parties or wedding receptions echoing across the property. The trade-off is that you don’t get daily housekeeping or a concierge desk — it’s more like renting a really well-located condo that happens to have hotel-style booking. Check-in was smooth, parking is free and actually plentiful (which is not a given in Wailea), and the grounds are beautifully maintained without feeling overly manicured. I guess my only real complaint would be that the pool area is pretty small, but honestly, when Keawakapu is right there, who cares? The 9.0 rating makes total sense once you realize what you’re getting — it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, it’s trying to be a really good home base for exploring this part of the island, and it nails that completely.

  The property was beautiful with mature foliage and tropical flowers. The main pool was large (and heated) and just steps from the sandy beach.
  Nice BBQ facility and the apartment was immaculate, comfortable and had a spectacular view of the ocean. A large lanai was right off the kitchen and living room and was equipped with a table, chairs and lounge chairs,
  which we loved.
  The apartment also had an abundance of drawer space, which was nice for our longer stay, and the closet had plenty of hangars as well.
  We loved our stay and will definitely return in the future!

  Our condo was clean and nicely furnished. The washer/dryer, ocean view, private resort beach access, free parking, accessible snorkeling and linen service were especially liked. It was minutes from our conference at the Amanda’s resort but much more accommodating than a hotel room with the full kitchen. Check in was easy and we really liked the community kitchen and eating space near the pool.

  The condo was just beautiful inside. Looks like it was all remodeled. They had a well stocked kitchen with all the utensils, bowls, etc. needed. They supplied coffee for the amount of days we were there. It had beautiful out outside patios. The only thing is, I think they should flip their mattresses a little bit more, it was just a wonderful place to stay

  Although it’s a large facility with many units, ours was quiet and private. It was huge and tastefully decorated. We could easily walk to the beach. The 2 large decks gave us multiple, gorgeous sunset views.

  Excellent location at a great price. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The bed was a memory foam mattress that was very comfortable. Great ocean view from the balcony. There was a nice pavilion at the beach access. About a 5 minute walk to the beach.
