The property itself is basically low-rise condos scattered around some really well-maintained grounds, and I mean that in the best way. Since it’s managed by Coldwell Banker Island Vacations, you’re dealing with individually owned units, so there’s this authentic lived-in quality you don’t get at cookie-cutter hotels. Some units are more updated than others (that’s just how it goes with condos), but the ones I’ve seen all have full kitchens – which is clutch when you’re paying Wailea grocery prices and want to make coffee without spending twelve dollars. The pools aren’t massive, but they’re never packed either, and there’s something to be said for actually being able to swim laps instead of dodging kids on floaties.

Location-wise, you’re maybe a five-minute walk to Wailea Beach, which is legitimately one of the better swimming beaches on the island – none of that rocky coral stuff you deal with up north. Ulua Beach is even closer if you want to snorkel, and honestly, the snorkeling right there rivals some of the paid boat trips. The Shops at Wailea are close enough to walk to when you need overpriced sunscreen or want to grab dinner at Longhi’s, but far enough away that you’re not hearing the wedding parties every weekend. Parking’s included, which might not sound like a big deal until you’ve paid $25 a night at some of the fancier places nearby. The whole setup just works – it’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying in Wailea (because you are) but without all the pretense. Plus, since most units have lanais, you can actually sit outside with your morning coffee and watch the sunrise over Haleakala, which beats room service on a silver tray any day of the week.
